To me, most blank surfaces are a potential canvas waiting for life and color. The idea of bringing art outdoors onto the containers at 2SIX8 Craft Brewery has been brewing (pun intended) in my creative mind since 2018. This September, I had the opportunity to do just that, and help raise awareness for our flippered friends. In partnership with 2Six8 Craft Brewery, Antilles Stillhouse and not-for-profit AB Sea Turtles, we kicked off the start of this mural with the Turtle Tide Fundraiser. An event to raise funds for AB Sea Turtles in support their conservation efforts to ensure that as many baby turtles as possible make it into our big blue Caribbean Ocean.

Mural Design & Inspiration:
In my research I discovered that baby turtles blow lots of air bubbles underwater while learning how to breathe and swim in the big blue. My design is a playful vision of baby Hawksbill Sea Turtles blowing bubbles, and at different stages of development. Bubbling in are our partners. With the hopes that we see more baby sea turtles in our oceans growing to gentle aged giants for generations to come and in support of those working towards highlighting that goal.
